We all get nervous before walking into an interview. We look for the perfect outfit. We try to create the perfect resume. We practice our interview questions over and over again trying to reframe our “biggest weaknesses” as strengths.

But, did you know that the most important part of the interview happens within the first 5 seconds that your interviewer’s eyes notice you?

It could happen while you are sitting, waiting for them to call your name. It could happen when you walk through their office door. It could happen when you pull your car up to their building.

My point? Own your interview the entire time you are in their corridors.

The biggest advice one employer recommends:

Show that you want to be part of the team from the moment you walk through their doors.

This means to be confident and walk in like it’s your first day on the job.

With the right attitude, it just may be!
